Take Profit Trader (TPT) is a futures-only prop firm built around one idea: a short, one-step Trading Test, then withdrawals from your first day on a PRO account. It suits a futures trader who wants a simple test and, per a TPT help-center promotion FAQ, no consistency rule on PRO. It is a poor fit if you want a one-time fee on the Test, trade anything other than futures on CME, COMEX, NYMEX and CBOT, or need a long track record of independent payout proof. TPT says 36.22% of Trading Tests were passed in 2025, which is a pass rate, not a payout rate.

We read TPT's own homepage and help center on 6 October 2026. TPT does not pay us a commission, and our link to it is plain. That did not affect what we wrote. Who pays us and how much.

How the program works

  • Test. A simulated Trading Test with a profit target, a trailing drawdown and a minimum of 3 trading days. You can take as long as you want.
  • PRO. A simulated funded account. TPT says you can withdraw from day one, keeping 80%.
  • PRO+. A live account you can upgrade to: end-of-day drawdown, a 90/10 split and no buffer requirement.

TPT is futures only: it allows futures listed on CME, COMEX, NYMEX and CBOT, and says it does not support stocks, options, forex, crypto or CFDs. It lists 15+ trading platforms, with CQG and Rithmic data feeds.

The Test, in numbers

AccountMonthly price (Test)
$25K$150
$50K$170
$75K$245
$100K$330
$150K$360

The 50K Test parameters on the homepage: profit target $3,000, end-of-day trailing drawdown $2,000, and a maximum position size of 6 contracts or 60 micros. The homepage lists a $1,100 daily loss limit with the word "Removed" next to it, so check the live page for how it applies. Rules shown include "be consistent", no trading bots and no counter positions. Prices were shown on 6 October 2026; the checkout page wins.

The Test is a monthly subscription. TPT's own comparison table lists a one-time $130 PRO fee where, it says, other firms charge monthly. If your Test takes a while, the subscription runs each month, so weigh the clock against the lack of a time limit.

The consistency rule

This is the rule that surprises people. During the Test, your best trading day must be below 50% of your total net profit. TPT's help center says missing it does not fail you: you need to raise your total profit until the best day falls below half. Its example on a 50K account with a $3,000 target: best day $2,000 and total $3,100 is about 65%, which is too high, so you must make more than $4,000. The updated goal is more than twice your best day. TPT's help-center promotion FAQ also says PRO accounts have no funded consistency rule. See how this compares in our consistency rules guide.

Payouts and evidence

TPT says PRO withdrawals start on day one, with no minimum profitable days, no maximum withdrawal and no payout windows, on profits above a buffer. It also says it allows up to 3 PRO resets. Those are firm claims we have not independently tested. On pass rates, TPT's site footer says that between 1 January and 31 December 2025, 36.22% of all Trading Tests were passed. The older FAQ figure we quoted before was 16.86% for 2024. These figures come from TPT itself; neither is a payout rate. Our guide to checking payout claims shows how we tier this kind of evidence.

The company

TakeProfitTrader LLC lists a Florida address (Windermere). All of its Test and PRO accounts are simulated (PRO+ is live), and its footer carries a simulated-performance disclaimer.

What could go wrong

  • The Test is a subscription. A slow test costs more each month.
  • A trailing drawdown. The $2,000 end-of-day trailing limit on the 50K Test trails your end-of-day balance.
  • The consistency rule can make a good week not count until your total profit catches up.
  • Marketing language. "Withdraw from day one" is TPT's wording; it applies only to profits above a buffer.
  • Promotions change. The homepage showed a lifetime-discount promo code on 6 October; check what you are actually buying.

Who it suits, who should skip

Suits you if you trade futures on CME, COMEX, NYMEX and CBOT, want a short test with a published consistency rule, and value fast access to withdrawals after funding. Skip it if you want forex or crypto products, want a one-time fee on the Test, or need payout evidence that is independent of the firm.
