2026-10-26

  • Removed claims we could not source from the guide on whether a prop firm will pay you, the About page, the guide list and three other guides, for example industry closure counts, payout-window percentages, failure and pass rates, market-share claims and a worked fee example. The warning-signs guide now says its signals are early warnings, not proof. Fixed an FTMO challenge time-limit error and conflicting fee and payout cells in the FTMO vs Apex guide.

2026-10-14

  • Added news-trading rule pages for Topstep, FunderPro and Maven Trading, plus a hub comparing news-trading rules across the firms we have sourced. Each answer shows the firm's own wording, its source and the date we read it. Pages for Goat Funded Trader, Take Profit Trader and Earn2Trade are held back until we have enough sourced facts for them.

  • Added the first four rule pages built from our sourced data: whether FTMO, The5ers, Apex and MyFundedFutures allow news trading, each with the firm's own wording, the source and the date we read it. A page is only published when its facts pass a quality check and is dropped if its facts go stale.

  • Email sign-up moved from beehiiv to Kit with double opt-in (a confirmation email is sent before an address joins the list). Privacy policy updated.

  • Scores are now computed from a published rubric (see Methodology) and every firm page shows its breakdown with sources and dates. The previous scores were set by hand and were not computed from evidence, so many numbers changed: Apex 88 to 75, The5ers 81 to 72, FunderPro 76 to 62, Maven 68 to 52, Goat Funded Trader 72 to 58, Earn2Trade 71 to 62, FundedNext 78 to 82, MyFundedFutures 79 to 84, Topstep 84 to 93, Take Profit Trader 74 to 78, FTMO 86 to 84, Propr 70 to 76; HyroTrader unchanged at 65; SizeProp 68 to 63; The Funded Trader 32 to 0 (official site offline).
  • Scores for firms where less than half the score is evidence-backed are marked provisional and capped at 69.
  • Added the Take Profit Trader review (2026), read against TPT's own homepage and help center on 6 October 2026. TPT's own site states a 36.22% Trading Test pass rate for 2025 (16.86% for 2024).
  • Added the guide FundedNext vs The5ers (2026), checked against both firms' own pages on 4 to 6 October 2026.
  • Added the guide FTMO vs FundedNext (2026), checked against both firms' own pages on 4 and 5 October 2026.
  • Rewrote the Privacy Policy to match what the site does (email list through beehiiv, counted outbound links, no analytics scripts of our own) and added Terms of Use.
  • Added the FTMO review (2026), checked against FTMO's own pages on 5 October 2026.
  • Added the guide Best Prop Firm for Beginners (2026), checked against each firm's own pages on 4 and 5 October 2026.
  • Added the guide Best Futures Prop Firm (2026), checked against each firm's own pages on 4 and 5 October 2026.

2026-10-05

  • Correction: Apex payout total updated to $828M+ (self-reported, from its payouts page); the site previously said $598M+.
  • Correction: Apex guides now say Apex pays 100% of approved payouts, per its current help pages. Older guides described a monthly subscription and a 100%-then-90% split, which no longer match.
  • Added four sourced guides: FundedNext review, how to check a payout screenshot, consistency rules compared at 11 firms, MyFundedFutures vs Apex.
  • Added the payout tracker and the "Which prop firm fits me?" quiz. Both use only sourced facts and say where we have none.
  • Firm pages no longer list affiliate programme terms. Disclosure stays at /affiliate-disclosure/.
  • Review dates updated for the ten firms whose pages changed (FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers, Apex, Topstep, MyFundedFutures, Take Profit Trader, Earn2Trade, FunderPro, Maven). The other firms still show their May 2026 review date.
  • Added the author and editorial policy page.
