FundedNext and The5ers both sell forex and CFD challenges, but they are built differently. The5ers' High Stakes and Hyper Growth challenges have no time limit, the 1-Step Hyper Growth path scales an account on every 10% target, and its High Stakes 2-Step needs three profitable days. FundedNext offers four plan types (2-Step, 1-Step, Lite and Instant) with fixed payout schedules and a fee refund with an early payout (none on Instant). The5ers suits traders who want to grow one account slowly; FundedNext suits traders who want to choose a plan and get to a payout on a published timetable.
We checked both firms' own pages on 4 to 6 October 2026. The5ers pays us a commission when you sign up through our link; FundedNext does not, and its link on this page is plain. That did not affect what we wrote. Who pays us and how much.
Update, 15 October 2026: FundedNext's payout schedule page now says Stellar Lite accounts bought or reset on or after 12 October 2026 use a 10-day trading cycle (first payout after 10 business days, then every 10 business days); earlier Lite accounts keep the 21-day first payout and every 14 days after. The Stellar 2-Step default (Standard) option is still a first payout at 21 days and then every 14, and Stellar 1-Step is still every 5 business days. The page also says 2-Step and Lite traders can choose one of three payout options at checkout: Standard (80% reward share), 3 Day (60%) or On-Demand (90%). Where a table below says 21 days, then every 14, for Lite, that is the earlier schedule. Check the payout schedule page for the plan you are buying.

Prices change, and the checkout page wins. The5ers' own Hyper Growth page contradicts itself: its headline says "No daily stop-loss" while its table lists a 3% daily loss. Read the live rules before you pay.
What decides the choice
Scaling versus choice of plan
The5ers grows your account at every 10% target: High Stakes scales up to $500,000, and Hyper Growth says it can grow an account up to $4,000,000. The trade-off is slower early splits on Hyper Growth (75/25 up to $300,000) and, on Hyper Growth, a $40,000 cap on evaluation account sizes per trader. FundedNext instead lets you pick between four plan types and states a payout schedule for each.
Payout timing and proof
FundedNext publishes when payouts happen and says they issue within 24 hours; on 1 September 2026 it said cumulative payouts had passed $350 million, and a tracker attributed $225.9 million of that to FundedNext on-chain, which is a minimum. The5ers does not publish a payout total on the pages we read, and its 16-hour average payout time is a marketing claim we could not audit. For how we weigh this, see how to check a payout claim.
Rules that bite
FundedNext's funded-account rules are the ones to read first: 40% of profit counts within 5 minutes of high-impact news, and open risk above 3% is removed from your payout after the fact. See the FundedNext review. The5ers' High Stakes bans trading within 2 minutes of high-impact news and counts a profitable day as at least 0.5% closed profit, calculated from the lower of your midnight balance and equity. The5ers' Futures page lists a 40% per-position consistency rule.
Countries
The5ers lists Israel among the forbidden jurisdictions in its terms and conditions. FundedNext's own pages disagree on its list: five countries in the footer, 20 in its help center. Check both lists for your country before you pay.
Who each suits
The5ers suits you if you want no time limit, a small first purchase on High Stakes ($19 for the $2.5K Step 1), and a plan that rewards growing one account. FundedNext suits you if you want a stated payout schedule, a plan with no profit target (Instant), or a fee refund after your first or third payout. Skip either if your country is on the firm's restricted list or your edge depends on news spikes. New to prop trading?
