Does FTMO allow news trading?

Not freely. On a funded FTMO Account (Standard type), news trading is restricted for 2 minutes before and after selected news releases. For Swing accounts and the Challenge and Verification phases: not restricted.

What FTMO says

FTMO restricts order execution for 2 minutes before and 2 minutes after selected news releases for all accounts, excluding the exceptions mentioned below.
